QUESTIONS ASKED THIS EPISODE:
Partner (28F) refuses to spend Valentine’s day with me (28F)
Hey! I’m 28F and my girlfriend Jade is 28F. We’ve been together for 4 years.
Every year for Valentine’s day, Jade spends the entire day and evening with her best friend Brooke. They call it ‘Gal-entine’s Day’ and started this tradition when they were younger and single. The first year we were dating, I didn’t think anything of it because we were a fairly new couple. the second year I was a bit bummed out and told Jade that and said maybe next year we can spend it together and she said yeah maybe. The third year I asked again and she said no, it’s her and Brookes day. Now we’re coming up on our fourth Valentine’s day and I’m wondering how to handle this. Brooke has been single this entire time.
Do men expect Valentines Day gifts (early in the relationship)?
So I've been seeing this guy for a little over 2 months, so it's not an actual relationship. Valentines day is coming up. Should I get him something? Is he expecting that I get him something? Is it too soon for me to expect something from him? FYI: he hasn't gotten me any gifts and I don't want to be the first to initiate it. I'm old fashioned in the sense that I feel like the guy needs to make the first move.
Asking your girlfriend out on Valentine’s Day
I’ve been dating my girlfriend for almost 3 years now she sent me a tiktok stating “when he thinks just cause he’s my boyfriend he doesn’t have to ask me to be my valentine” like I get the gesture is cute but personally it’s kind of ridiculous to ask every year , no? Then she calls me not romantic when I am very well romantic.
So now she’s just putting me down because I have a difference of opinion than she does?
My gf wants a laser hair removal as a gift for Valentine's day
We have just been dating since October last year so its a new relationship. The topic we were discussing was gift on Valentines day, and I asked her if she wanted something specific or shall I surprise her? Well she asked for a full body laser hair removal, lol. I have never had a gf ask me for this, so my question is this- is this a red flag? And do I still have to give her any gifts after this?
Should I get send her a valentines gift?
Hey guys, so I’m new here (I apologise if this is not the correct sub for this). I wanted to ask an opinion on something. I’ve been talking to this girl since the end of August. Some background: we haven’t met in person yet because it’s long distance and we both have very busy work lives.
We get on like a house on fire, talk pretty much everyday, call when we both have time. We sent each other Christmas presents. I wanna get her something for valentines, but I don’t know if it’s too soon. Part of me is thinking ‘well, we exchanged Christmas gifts so why not surprise her for valentines’ but I feel like maybe valentines is a little more serious?
